Satisfaction in the Savior

Some people believe that KNOWING the Savior means having an “experience” that made them “see the light.” However, it takes more than just having a head-knowledge of Jesus. It is more than having an “experience” or a “moment” in your life when you “felt” that Jesus saved you; either from a disaster, an accident, or any other kind of bad situation.

To know the Savior means to have that personal relationship with Him. It is being able to say that YOU are HIS and HE is YOURS. You believe that He is YOUR CREATOR, YOUR MASTER, YOUR LORD, and YOUR HEAVENLY FATHER.  He’s the ONLY one in your life worth worshipping. He is the ONLY way to get to Heaven.

The Monthly Word Focus for March is “Satisfaction.”

We all struggle sometimes to be content or satisfied. We all have moments in our life when we want more; we desire more; we seek for more.  Sadly, many resort to sex, drugs, or alcohol to try to “get more” – to try to fill that gaping void in their heart and life.

Anyone who has ever done that can probably testify that that void was never filled PERMANENTLY. In fact, it cannot be filled with anything that this world has to offer.

There is a song entitled, “There is a Remedy.” (Lyrics included below)

“For the world that’s lost in darkness
For the saint who’s gone astray
For the sinner, blind but searching
For the child in need of faith
For the homeless and forsaken
For the hungry and the cold
For the prisoner and the captive
For the young and for the old

There is a remedy
For every sin-sick soul
There is a cure for all
All the pain and hurt and wrong
There is a solution
For all the problems deep inside
There is a remedy
And His name is Jesus Christ

For the bitter, for the lonely
For the weary and afraid
For the burdened and frustrated
The discouraged and dismayed
For the mocked and persecuted
For the battered, for the wronged
For the scarred and for the wounded
For the weak and for the strong

For every tribe and every nation
For every color, every race
For every tongue and every language
For every time and every place
There’s an answer to the questions
There is love for all the hate
There’s a healer for the dying
He’s the Light, the Truth, the way,”

Anyone reading these lyrics can probably admit that they fall into at least one of the categories mentioned. We’ve all been hurt; we’ve all been offended.; we’ve all been discouraged; we’ve all been afraid, lonely, or weary.  We’ve all felt weak and we are all different –  but the awesome truth is that there is an ANSWER, a HEALER, a REMEDY and His name is Jesus.

We don’t need to look at other people, fame, fortune, or even an occupation to be satisfied because those will never fully, permanently, and truly satisfy us.

TRUE SATISFACTION and LASTING SATISFACTION can only be found in knowing Jesus as your Savior.

Below are Bible Verses that can remind us that God is enough. He satisfies the longing soul and fills the hungry soul with goodness. I don’t know what all the “goodness” may be, but if it’s good, then why not, right?

Isaiah 58:11 – And the LORD shall guide thee continually, and satisfy thy soul in drought, and make fat thy bones: and thou shalt be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters fail not.

John 6:35 – And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.

Proverbs 19:23 – The fear of the LORD tendeth to life: and [he that hath it shall abide satisfied; he shall not be visited with evil.

Psalms 145:16 – Thou openest thine hand, and satisfiest the desire of every living thing.

Psalms 107:9 – For he satisfieth the longing soul, and filleth the hungry soul with goodness.

Psalms 22:26 – The meek shall eat and be satisfied:

If you are searching for something more or if you are searching for meaning and purpose for your life…Friend, I am here to tell you that Jesus is the Answer. God loved the world so much that He sent His ONLY BEGOTTEN SON to die on the cross for you and for me. He is not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance. Asking Jesus to save you is as simple as singing your ABCs.

If that is a decision you would like to make today, please leave me a message and I would be overjoyed to show you from God’s Word how you can find SATISFACTION IN THE SAVIOR.
